Progression from Level 2. Subjects include common injuries and ailments, horse clothing and bandaging, getting horses fit and roughing them off, care / transport of horses at competitive events, stable design / construction, clipping, trimming and plaiting.

This is a progressive course and expands on the Horse Owners Certificate Level 2. This course is aimed at a real horse enthusiast, owner or groom. The course is a mixture of classroom based theory sessions with some practical sessions at Manor Stables with our horses.

Course Content

- Clipping, trimming and plaiting
For an additional exam fee of £20, you may sit an optional written assessment to achieve Horse Owners Certificate Level 3. Exam fee payable on the day.
Entry Requirements
An interest in horses. Minimum age for this course is 14 years. Tetanus protection is recommended.
This is the first of four British Horse Society progressive horse knowledge and care courses. Move on to the Level 4 course taught at the college.
