Certificate in Transactional Analysis
Description
Overview
This course will introduce participants to the main aspects of Transactional Analysis. It explains:
* the intrapsychic process within the individual, client, patient, which means, what is going on inside the person, where is it located (ie is it part of the family history, or their personal history), and how it is affecting their response to current situations
* the interpersonal difficulties and transactions that are often the externalisation of the unresolved inner conflict. This means that people behave in some quite unexpected ways as a result of the internal dialogue that no-one else can see. This can account for aggressive behaviour, over-reactions, conflicts and difficulties…

Overview
This course will introduce participants to the main aspects of
Transactional Analysis. It explains:
* the intrapsychic process within the individual, client, patient,
which means, what is going on inside the person, where is it
located (ie is it part of the family history, or their personal
history), and how it is affecting their response to current
situations
* the interpersonal difficulties and transactions that are often
the externalisation of the unresolved inner conflict. This means
that people behave in some quite unexpected ways as a result of the
internal dialogue that no-one else can see. This can account for
aggressive behaviour, over-reactions, conflicts and difficulties.
Transactional Analysis helps make this understandable and
alterable, with the full knowledge and consent of the
participants
* the patterns of people's lives, the way they structure their
time, the kind of recognition they do or do not receive, the myths
they live by, the old beliefs and irrational self statements, their
constructs of the world. Thus Transactional Analysis encompasses
the notion of 'man' as a philosopher in search of meaning and as a
scientist constantly experimenting with what is possible.
