The College of West Anglia has run the RCVS veterinary nursing courses for a number of years and has been recognised as one of the leading national providers. We provide training for over 40 practices within the region and havea regular pass rate of 100% for theory and the Objective Structure Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).

Ofsted, the college prides itself in providing high levels of
support to all learners both in and outside the classroom.
The course will cover all aspects of theory and will also prepare
students in a range of practical skills. Veterinary nursing
facilities include: small animal unit including a wide range of
animals (guinea pigs, reptiles, rabbits, birds, amphibians,
arachnids and many others), equine facility (including an indoor
and outdoor arena, equine spa, aqua treadmill, solarium and full
stable yard), veterinary nursing suite (including radiography,
surgical equipment, anaesthesia equipment, canine spa and a brand
new purpose built laboratory).
Entry Requirements:
Interview required
You should be employed at a veterinary practice. To begin training, students must have achieved five GCSEs at grade C or higher including English language, mathematics and a science subject. Alternative qualifications of a comparable or higher standard may be accepted.
Assessment:
The course involves external RCVS exams as well as internal exams and assessments.
Progression from this course:
Whilst the majority of our students have extended their roles in veterinary practices, others have gone on, once qualified towork in a variety of environments including general practice, veterinary hospitals and referral practices.
