End Qualification:

NOCN Entry Level 2 & Asdan Personal Progress

Entry Requirements:

Interview required

Whilst there are no formal entry requirements, learners are required to show a positive attitude to learning. Following a successful interview a taster session will be arranged. This will provide a further opportunity to assess whether the programme will be able to meet the needs of the student.

Assessment:

Assessment is an on-going process and is regular throughout the academic year.
Initially students are assessed on an individual basis by their tutors. Progress is measured through subject specific targets and through the verification of completed units. Subject specific targets are agreed with the student according to their own individual needs. These targets are regularly reviewed and updated via the online PDP system. Students are given the opportunity to log in and view their own targets and progress regularly

Progression from this course:

Progression from this course is always determined by the needs of the individual. All relevant professionals are involved in supporting and guiding students through all stages in the process of progression from the course. Students on the Moving On to Independence course can progress to Project Search but will be determined by the individual needs and abilities of each student accordingly. An opportunity to discuss progression in detail is usually via the Progress Evening held in March.
