The full-time course involves 1 daytime session and 1 evening
session over 4 semesters, and practical training for the remainder
of the week. The full-time mode has been designed for those who
have had at least 2 years early years work experience although may
not currently be working in the industry. The course can also be
studied part-time.
This course is subject to validation.
Entry Requirements:
Interview required
- Applicants must be aged 18 or over
- A levels in suitable subjects equivalent to 200 UCAS points
(please note AS level points are not counted towards the tariff
required for this programme)
- 5 GCSEs at grade C or above including English, maths and
science
Assessment:
Modular and work based assessments.
Progression from this course:
The course is recognised by the Department for Education and Skills (DFES) and thus the early years field, this qualification could aid progression to a senior practitioners role. Associated careers are within nursing, schools, and the early years environment. This course can also be used as a pathway to a full-degree in relevant subjects.
