CACHE Entry Certificate in Preparation for Childcare

Full-Time courses for 16-18 School Leavers are Free.

If you are aged between 19 and 23 and don't already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, and you need to study at Entry or Level 1 to progress to Level 2, tuition fees will be waived. If you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria, tuition fees will be waived. (Registration Fees will still apply).
Course Content: This is a course for people who want to take the first step towards a career with children. Subjects you will cover are:

• Pregnancy and Responsible Parenting

• Caring for Young Children 0 – 3 years 11 months

• Play and Learning in the Home 0 – 3 years 11 months

During the course you will have lots of support from caring tutors and Learning Support Staff who will also help you with your Maths and English skills. Entry Qualification: There are no formal entry requirements but you should have an interest in learning about caring for children. Progression: Learners may move on to a higher level within the Care department or to another Entry course in a different department.
