In both levels of Apprenticeship, you will study a mix of theory (knowledge) and practical (competency) modules from the options in your chosen pathway. At Level 3 - you will build on and develop your existing skills and knowledge by introducing more complex techniques/ dishes and developing kitchen management skills. Alongside both levels of work, you will also complete modules on Employment Rights and Responsibilities, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills and Functional Skills English and Mathematics.What qualifications do I need?
Level 3 - ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 foundation qualification and have some vocational experience, along with good communication, organisational and team working skills.When does the course start?
September 2013, however flexible start times may also be available.Where is it held?
As with all Apprenticeship programmes, you will be employed in a catering environment and be visited regularly in the workplace by your trainer/assessor for practical assessments. Some learning and activities may be completed through our dedicated online portals.How long does the course last?
Both levels of courses have a usual duration of 12-15 months for each course.What does it cost?
The course is fully funded for those individuals who meet the Apprenticeship funding requirements. For those who do not meet these requirements, individual prices can be provided on request.What could I do after completing the course?
