Who is this course for?For either course, you need to be working within a social care environment. What will I do on the course?
You will study a mix of theory (knowledge) and practical (competency) modules. During the course, you will learn about topics such as: Level 3:- Knowledge - developing communication, health and safety, safeguarding, person centred care, developing own knowledge, understanding theorist in health sector and practice and reporting and recording
- Competency - improving knowledge and skills within the Care industry, lead and manage a team of care workers.
What qualifications do I need?
Level 3 - along with the above, you will have ideally completed a level two foundation qualification and have some vocational experience, along with good communication skills. At level 3, there is a requirement to be able to work on your own or supervise others at work.When does the course start?
September 2013, however flexible start times may also be available.Where is it held?
As with all Apprenticeship programmes, you will be employed in a social care environment and be visited regularly in the workplace by your trainer/assessor for practical assessments. Some learning and activities may be completed through our dedicated online portals.How long does the course last?
At both levels, the usual duration is 12-15 months for each course.What does it cost?
The course is fully funded for those individuals who meet the Apprenticeship funding requirements. For those who do not meet these requirements, individual prices can be provided on request.What could I do after completing the course?
