For either course, you need to be working within a hairdressing environment. Each level of Apprenticeship has different pathway options, and you will choose the pathway most closely connected with your work.

What qualifications do I need?
Level 2 - there are no formal What qualifications do I need?; however you should have a keen interest in hairdressing, good communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of people. It is advantageous to have GCSE at Grade D or above in English and Maths.When does the course start?
September 2013, however flexible start times may also be available.Where is it held?
As with all Apprenticeship programmes, you will be employed in a hairdressing environment and be visited regularly in the workplace by your trainer/assessor for practical assessments. In addition, you will also attend college on a day/evening release basis – these sessions will usually take place at Cannock or Tamworth campus. Some learning and activities may be completed through our dedicated online portals.How long does the course last?
Both levels of courses have a usual duration of 12-15 months for each course.What does it cost?
The course is fully funded for those individuals who meet the Apprenticeship funding requirements. For those who do not meet these requirements, individual prices can be provided on request. Please note: you will be required to purchase basic equipment to participate in this course; a uniform will also be required.What could I do after completing the course?
