This course is one of the pathway choices for Level 3 Animal Management. In the first year you will complete a Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Animal Management together with additional qualifications in business administration. The pathway aims to provide you with additional knowledge and qualifications to enhance your prospects of employment or further study either directly within the animal industry or transfer to a similar industry. You have the option to “top up” to an extended diploma in animal management by returning for a second year or transfer across to business administration.

NB. All units are subject to change.
Four days a week at college to include a mix of lectures, demonstrations and practical work.
Entry Requirements
Four GCSEs Grade C or above - to include English Language, Science and Maths or Level 2 qualification in animal care with distinction plus level 2 functional skills . Recent experience in an animal care establishment is essential.
Next Steps/Employment
Further education i.e. level 3 Extended Diploma/ Apprenticeship.
Zoo keeper or veterinary nurse training. Self-employment or a wide range of employment opportunities including zoos, animal sanctuaries, farm parks, RSPCA, wildlife organisations, pet stores and more.
