Plastering Diploma Level 2

Who is this course for?

This course will build on the skills you have gained at Level 1 to equip you for a career in construction or provide you with a good foundation to progress to a higher level qualification.

What will I do on the course?

You will spend the majority of your time in our purpose-built workshops undertaking practical activities. You will also develop your knowledge through theory based classes. You will study a range of subjects including;

• Safe working practices
• Building methods and technology
• Applying plaster materials to external surfaces
• Fix dry lining and plasterboard products
• Forming sand and cement screeds
• Producing plaster components
• Applying plaster materials to internal surfaces
• Position and secure fibrous plaster components

In addition, you will learn skills that are required in any career choice, including health & safety, confidence building, social and practical skills, and English and Maths. We also offer English and Maths GCSE resits.

What qualifications do I need?

• 4 GCSEs Grade D or above
• Level 1 qualification in Plastering
• Adequate standard of English and Maths
• Mature learners with other qualifications and/or experience are also welcomed
• You should have a strong interest in working in the construction sector and demonstrate a commitment to succeed

• Extended Diploma in Construction - Level 3
• Diploma in Plastering - Level 3

Are there any additional costs?

Learners may be required to purchase small items of personal equipment during the course. Prices and details will be discussed at interview. Bursary funds may be available to help with additional costs.
