Who is this course for?This course is for you if you have a keen interest in horse care and hope to pursue a career in this diverse and exciting industry. This course will also suit you if you are currently working in the equine industry and wish to gain a recognised qualification.
What will I do on the course?
A typical working week will comprise of some classroom sessions and lots of practical work. There will also be time to meet with your tutor and work on improving your Maths and English. You will learn to improve your riding, carry out routine stable duties, safely handle horses and fit tack correctly. In addition, you will learn skills that are required in any career choice, including health & safety, confidence building, social and practical skills, and English and Maths. We also offer English and Maths GCSE resits.What qualifications do I need?
- 4 GCSEs Grade D or above, OR
- Level 1 qualification in a related subject
- Adequate standard of English and Maths
- Mature learners with other qualifications and/or experience are also welcomed
- You should have a strong interest in working with horses and
demonstrate a commitment to succeed.

Further Education:- Extended Diploma in Equine Management - Level 3.

Are there any additional costs?
Learners may be required to purchase their own personal equipment during the course, this will include appropriate yard clothing and equipment (hard hat, boots etc.). There may also be additional costs for trips and visits, but these are not essential for completion of the course. Prices and details will be discussed at interview.
