Advanced Apprenticeship in Trowel Occupations (Brick) (Level 3)

Introduction

This bricklaying course is for you if you already have a Level 2 qualification, working in the industry or have experience in the industry and need a recognised qualification to help improve your job prospects.

What Will I Learn

This course will help to develop the skills employers in industry are looking for such as technical and practical skills, problem solving, team working, communication and sustainability awareness in construction.

How Will I Be Assessed?

Progress and achievement is recorded throughout the year via practical assessments, theory assessments, external tests and a practical synoptic assignment. You will also be given your own assessor to help build and assess your portfolio.

Entry Requirements

You must have a minimum of four GCSEs including English and Maths, and show a genuine interest in the bricklaying industry. Entry is also subject to an interview, basic skills screening, initial assessment and a Level 2 Diploma in Brickwork or equivalent.

Upon successful completion, you may proceed onto a Foundation degree in a construction related field.
