Who is this course for?The Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful learners to lead groups of people in sport/activity, under indirect supervision; it is to prepare responsible, motivated and confident people who can lead safe, purposeful and enjoyable sporting and recreational activities for small groups.

What will I do on the course?
The qualification teaches generic leadership skills as organisation, planning, communication and teamwork through the medium of sport. You will complete a series of units as follows: Unit 1 - Plan, lead and eveluate a sport/activity session Unit 2 - Developing leadership skills Unit 3 - Lead a sessionto improve fitness Unit 4 - Adapting sports activities Unit 5 - Establish and maintain a safe sport/activity session Unit 6 - Organise and deliver a sports event or competition Unit 7 - Pathways in sport and recreation You will also need to complete 10 hours demonstration of leadership skills which is to be undertaken at the end of the course.What qualifications do I need?
Entry will be by interview. It is a fun and practical qualification with no entrance requirements or final examinations to sit. However, you will require to have a valid and current first aid certificate (this could be completed whilst on the course).When does the course start?
