This apprenticeship covers a wide range of job roles on two pathways: the adult social care pathway, and the health care pathway. This could mean working in the NHS, the private sector, local authorities or in the voluntary sectors.
City & Guilds QCF level 3 Diploma for Health and Social Care (Adult care) is made up of:
Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care 4222-31- 46-(58 credits)
Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care 4229-03 (21 credits)
You choose option units that relate to your job role in consultation with your assessor. These units are chosen at the induction session. You also complete:
Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT

Individual learning targets are set at the beginning of the course.
You are allocated an assessor, who will plan and assess your work,
and you receive regular feedback on your progress.
Throughout your course you build a portfolio of evidence with
guidance from the assessor and observations will take place in the
workplace.
You gain a recognised qualification while gaining valuable work
experience.
You must be in employment in the relevant occupation for a minimum
of 30 hours per week (or 16 hours per week in exceptional
circumstances) to gain a place on one of our apprenticeship
programmes. Your employer will need to agree to you becoming an
apprentice as these are work-based qualifications.
You must already be working within the industry.
Upon application you will be invited in for an interview and an
initial assessment to make sure that the course is right for you.
You need to achieve Entry Level 3 in English and Entry Level 3 in
Maths at your initial assessment.
There are no other restrictions to becoming an apprentice except
that you need to be over the age of 16 and need to have been
settled in the UK for at least the past three years.
