You will learn about the principles and practice of assessment and how to assess vocational skills knowledge and understanding. The course is delivered by blended learning and you will have access to a virtual learning environment to support your classroom sessions. You will develop evidence for the award as the course progresses.
You will gain a Certificate in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement - a nationally recognised qualification for this field.
You need GCSE English at Grade C or above or its equivalent. Alternatively you must be able to demonstrate that you have Level 2 Literacy skills.
You may wish to obtain an Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice or an Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice. Depending on your role and career aspirations you may wish to obtain other qualifications such as a Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) award Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) or Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS).
