Level 3 Assessing Vocational Achievement Certificate OCR
This is a new qualification for those that assess vocational qualifications in classrooms, workshops or simulated environments. This is similar to the A1 Assessors Award (now known as Assessing Competence in the Work Environment).
This course consists of the following units:
- Unit 1: Understanding the principles & practices of assessment
- Unit 2: Assess occupational competence in the work environment
- Unit 3: Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
All students:
- Must be assessing a minimum of 2 learners undertaking an awarding organisation (QCF) accredited qualification
- Will need access to the learners' Internal Quality Assurer (IQA/IV)

- Must be aged 19+
In addition must have:
- A minimum of 2 NVQ (or similar qualification with the purpose D1: assess competence in the workplace) candidates to assess
- An Identified Verifier (IV) prior to enrolment - This person must be competent in the NVQ area and hold the V1, D34 or IQA award
Students need to provide evidence of achieving level 2 in literacy and numeracy or be prepared to work towards achieving this whilst undertaking the course.
