Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care Settings Certificate Level 2 Awarding Body: City & Guilds Course Details The course will run for two full days a week with an additional induction morning in the first week and will cover 9 units of work. A Course for Learners who have completed either the Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in the Adult Care Sector or for those that are considering working in the Care sector and who have no previous knowledge or experience. Entry Requirements Applications from students who are unemployed are welcome. No previous knowledge is necessary but a general understanding about health care would be an advantage. Assessment Assignments and tasks which include posters, letters, question and answer sessions etc are externally set and internally assessed. Learning Outcome Successful learners will be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care Settings. Progression after Programme This Level 2 Certificate forms part of the Level 2 Apprenticeship which learners can progress with. Alternatively if the learner secures employment in the Health Care Sector they can complete the Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
