This course consists of the following:
- Introduction to the adult social sector
- Introduction to the values and principles of adult social care
- Awareness of skills and attitudes needed to work in adult social care
- Awareness of communication in adult social care
- Awareness of the roles and responsibilities of adult social care worker
This course is aimed at adults returning to study who would like to develop a basic knowledge of the adult social care sector and explore the type of job roles and services within it.
Students must have ALL of the following:
- Basic Literacy & Numeracy Skills
- Satisfactory references
