Hairdressing Womens & Mens Diploma Level 2 Course Details The Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing is an internationally recognised qualification that is essential for a career in hairdressing. It comprises of the following units: Client care. Shampooing and conditioning of the hair and scalp. Styling hair into shape. Style and finish hair. Set and dress hair. Basic cutting techniques. Basic colouring techniques. Health and safety and security in the salon. Give clients a positive impression of the salon and yourself. Salon reception duties. A Course for This course is ideal for students who would like to pursue a career in ladies or gents hairdressing. We informally interview each applicant because our main concern is that you will benefit from and successfully complete the chosen programme of study. The hairdressing profession offers exciting career prospects in a dynamic industry which can provide opportunities for employment in local salons or fitness centres, health clubs, spas, leisure facilities and cruise ships throughout the world. You will have practical experience in TS10, our commercial salon, which simulates a real work environment. You may also have the opportunity to undertake work placement in the industry, undertake additional qualifications (optional, may incur an additional cost), enter competitions and get the chance to visit a hairdressing/beauty exhibition. Entry Requirements A formal interview and initial assessment is required before acceptance, to ensure the course is suitable. Assessment Assessment on clients is continuous throughout the programme and you will also be expected to work on assignments. A portfolio of evidence will be produced to show attainment throughout the course. Internal exams will take place on specific units.
