VRQ Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management

The level 3 qualifications in First Line Management are designed for supervisors and first line managers who wish to build on and develop their existing management skills and knowledge.  These qualifications are also suitable for aspiring first line managers.    

A more extensive qualification, the CMI Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management gives you a broader knowledge of effective management skills while focusing on the specific management areas appropriate to you and your workplace.  

VRQs are work-based but assessed by written assignment.  They are made up of units covering a wide range of management topics, allowing you to tailor the size and elements of the qualification to suit you and your organisation’s specific needs.

To achieve a Chartered Management Institute Certificate in First Line Management, you need to successfully complete any combination of units to a minimum of 13 credits.  (Units 3001 – 3018 only)  The Certificate can take between 1 to 3 months.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.  Assessment is normally through practical work based assignments.  This ensures you minimise time away from work and that you undertake work study which is relevant to your own organisation’s context.  Learners should have sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment.
