This is an exciting 6-8 hour course aimed at anyone wishing to start their own business; those currently in business; those looking for work; as well as employees who wish to learn more about how the company they work for is structured.

It's a really important module for those taking legal secretarial courses or bookkeeping courses too. 

A relatively short course, it forms the basic knowledge you need to work at the highest levels.

What Is Covered. 

Studying at either our Notting Hill or High Holborn training centres, you'll cover the following topics in 3 key lessons:

• The different types of business organisation. 
• The main features, advantages and disadvantages of different types of business. 
• The legal structure and control systems of a limited company. 
• The methods and importance of reporting for a limited company. The reasons for, and the content of, a contract of law. 
• The term ‘insolvency’, its effect on business and its possible causes. 
• The main features of a contract of employment and its importance. 
• A range of terms in relation to business banking. 
• How the payment of tax may vary depending on the type of business.

How The Course Works. 

At Pitman Training in London's Notting Hill or High Holborn, you study when you wish during our long opening hours:

Monday-Thursday, 09:00-20:00; Fridays, 09:00-16:30 and Saturdays, 10:00-16:00.

You'll enjoy our unusual 'drop-in' style which means you won;'t need a timetable as well as the support of our friendly, supportive training team who are there to guide you all the time.

At the end of your course, you'll take an exam and on passing, you'll receive a handsome Pitman Training certificate to prove how good you are.
