The BTEC Level 3 Business courses are practical, work - related courses. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations and activities.

Course Content

As well as learning about Business, important skills are developed which will help you find employment in your chosen area, or prepare you for study at degree level. Subjects offered may include:

• Finance
• Investigating Business
• Law
• Marketing
• Recruitment & Selection. You may be required to continue to study maths, English or IT as part of your course.

Progression

Students will study the BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Year 1 (1 A-Level) and upon successful completion of this will progress to either the BTEC Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma. These are equivalent to 2 and 3 A-Levels respectively, allowing you to progress on to higher level qualifications such as a degree or professional qualification. It can also act as the ideal preparation for a range of jobs in the public or private sectors. Possible areas of work include accountancy, financial services, information technology, manufacturing, personnel, public administration and sales.

5 GCSEs (Grade C or above) including English, or equivalent.
