The Programme

A professional qualification offering the student the necessary skills to work in a professional spa or holistic salon. This course will include health and safety, anatomy and physiology, body massage, pre-blended aromatherapy massage, Indian head massage, hot stone massage, use and maintenance of the spa equipment, use and application of body wrapping treatments, communication and sales techniques.

The Programme Content

The course contains chocolate therapy, Bamboo massage, a range of body wrapping treatments, flotation therapy, jacuzzi, sauna, steam, Vichy shower, body massage, hot stone massage, pre-blended aromatherapy, Indian head massage, anatomy and physiology, health and safety and promoting products and services. Enrichment courses are available to support this award at an additional cost. This can include herbal stamping, lava shell massage, trigger point ice ball face massage, stress reduction massage and reflex touch hand and foot massage.

Entry Requirements

Successful completion of the Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy is desirable or equivalent level at GCSE.
Mature students will be accredited with suitable life experience as entry to course.

Costs

Each candidate will need to purchase a body therapy kit, a uniform and related text books*.
