This course covers using the gentle massaging action of a dry natural sisal brush, stimulating the circulation and lymphatic system, thereby helping to eliminate toxins from the client’s body. Who is the course for?

This elimination process helps the body become more effective, improves blood circulation and enhances the immune system, improves the appearance of cellulite and reduces water retention leaving the skin firmer and smoother. Dry Body brushing is often done in spas as part of detoxification and slimming treatments.

Dry skin brushing is one of the healthier self-help methods available to us today. Stimulation of the skin sets in motion natural healing pathways within the body. Additionally, it encourages nerve beds within its structure that in turn increases normal healing processes throughout the body.

Commercially, this treatment can be an important addition to a therapist’s skills as you can carry out other small treatments can be given while the client relaxes in the wrap. i.e. Lash and Brow tint, foot massage or even a facial treatment.

What will I study?

This training course has been designed to suit salons/treatment rooms where no shower facility is available. They are easy to use and very popular with clients. The course will cover:

  • Body Brushing
  • Body Exfoliation and Body Wrapping using body bandages
  • Full body wrapping using foil blankets
  • Benefits of treatments
  • Contraindications/Restrictions to treatments
  • Consultation
  • Suitable products to use and their benefits
  • Hygiene and Professionalism, Professional Ethics and Conduct

The qualification is fully insurable to practice and is accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (http://www.the-cma.org.uk/) and the Professional Beauty Guild (http://www.beautyguild.com/).

How will the course be delivered?

The course runs for 1 day and is a mixture of practical and theory, with a practical assessment at the end of the day.

Course Entry Requirements

Students attending on this course will have already achieved their Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in either Swedish, Holistic, Body Massage, Beauty Massage, Spa Massage and have achieved their level 3 Anatomy & Physiology Qualification.

The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:

  • More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
  • 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
  • 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
  • 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
  • Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost

All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.

What will I get at the end of the course?

Students will receive an Accredited Certificate upon successful completion of the course.

How much does it cost?

The cost of the course is £125.00 per person including registration fees, all equipment, information manual and an Accredited Certificate upon successful completion of the course. This course also entitles you to 9.5 CPD points. (Prices Subject to Change)
