- You will be eligible to join the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) as a student member. Membership is automatic and you will be required to inform the FHT that you are a qualified practitioner on graduation
- Emphasis is placed on you gaining practical experience in our clinic as well as learning key business skills to enable you to set-up your own business should you wish to follow this career path
- The course responds to the growing demand for academic qualifications in the field of complementary medicine
- The course helps each student to develop into a practitioner who is capable of using and contributing to the body of knowledge and research, which supports the practice of complementary therapies
Course content
BSc (Hons) Complementary Therapies for Healthcare
This degree includes massage, reflexology, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, applied pathophysiology, aromatherapy, personal and academic skills development, business studies and health psychology for therapists. You will be able to integrate knowledge and skills gathered on the mind and body to enable you to provide a safe and competent treatment and know when issues need to be referred to other specialists within the health sector.
