The Programme
Wood Occupations includes Site Carpentry, Bench Joinery or Wood Machining. An Apprentice will also study for the Construction Diploma Level 2, the CSCS Health and Safety card and the NVQ Diploma Level 2 in Wood Occupations. Entry Requirements
Initial assessment result at Level 1 or GCSE grade C in Maths and English or Level 1 course in Wood Occupations. Candidates must be 16 years of age or over and employed. You will need to take a SLE test during interview which will measure your competence to do an apprenticeship at Level 2.

Progression
Full completion of the qualification will allow you to progress to an apprenticeship at Level 3 in Bench Joinery. You must be employed to be able to complete the NVQ Diploma Level 3.
Length of Study
Two years. You will need to attend college one or two days per week, depending on previous qualifications.
