What's it all about? This Woodmachining Apprenticeship is available to school leavers, those aged 16-18 and adults. Wood Machinists manufacture components used in the furniture and construction industries. Finished products may be sold tobuilders' merchants, DIY stores or used by the furniture-making and construction industries. Common items that a wood machinist prepares from raw materials of timber include frames for door frames and windows, floorboards and staircases, kitchen cabinets and cabinet furniture.
