With Edexcel as the awarding body, the BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science is a qualification equivalent to 3 ‘A2’ levels.
Developed in the areas of Laboratory and Industrial Science, this qualification provides education and training for scientists in a wide range of sectors including quality control, medical laboratory analysis, forensic science, food science, health science and soil analysis.
The course content, alongside the FE environment, experience and qualifications of the lecturers and the opportunity to embark on their own research project is a perfect stepping stone for students hoping to progress to higher education or gain employment in a related area.
