Course Content

Core Units for Manufacturing Engineering:
• Analytical Methods for Engineers
• Engineering Science
• Project Design, Implementation and Evaluation.
8 units in total are required.

Specialist units are delivered to add breadth and more focused knowledge, skills and understanding, e.g. Specialist units for manufacturing engineering:
• Application of Machine Tools
• Advanced Computer-aided Design Techniques
• Computer-aided Machining
• Computer-aided Design and Manufacture
• Industrial Robot Technology.

Course Aims

The course aims to provide technicians from the engineering industry with the necessary technical, managerial, analytical and personal skills to operate effectively as team members.
