Entry Requirements

  • A minimum of 194 GCSE entry points including GCSE grade B or above in Maths, English and Science
  • Alternatively you will have successfully completed the Level 2 BTEC Diploma or equivalent

You will study a balanced programme of Mandatory and Optional Units.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is by a series of BTEC devised, college set assignments carried out progressively during the programme.

What will I need?

You must provide your own boots and overalls. You may be asked to buy a recommended text book.

What can I do next?

On successful completion of the course, you will have gained the necessary skills and qualifications to take up employment in the many areas of engineering, such as equipment servicing, production services or electronics. Alternatively, you may choose to progress to a Degree level course.

Additional Activities

As a full time student, you will have the chance to take part in additional activities, including sports, alongside your main programme. Depending on your prior achievement, you can resit GCSE English and/or Maths. You can also take part in our enrichment programme, which includes sport, foreign languages and a range of other activities.
