Please can you undertake the following onscreen test and bring the results with you to the diagnostic session, where you will be required to complete a free writing & comprehension test to assess whether you will be able to meet the requirements of the course at level 4 &5 http://www.keyskills4u.com/tests/2004/index.html These on line tests will assess your literacy and numeracy levels. SECTION 1 UNDERSTANDING YOUR TEACHING ROLE SECTION 2 TEACHING & LEARNING APPROACHES SECTION 3 INCLUSIVE, MOTIVATIONAL LEARNING SECTION 4 PLANNING SKILLS & ASSESSMENT SECTION 5 MICRO TEACHWhat option will be open to me if I successfully complete the course? This is an introductory course that will improve your confidence and practice if you are already teaching or wish to go into teaching. It is a requirement from September 2007 that all new teachers obtain this qualification. In order to become a qualified teacher or trainer, a further course of study would be needed, such as the Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) or the Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS). Progression routes will be advised to all trainees before enrolling on the programme as routes are varied, depending on individual aims.
