The QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Health and social care has replaced the Level 4 and is now standards for anyone looking to become a registered Manager/Director.

In order to achieve this qualification, candidates must achieve 90 credits.

20 of these credits are made up from core mandatory units:

  • Use and develop systems which promote communication
  • Promote professional development
  • Champion Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Work in partnership in Health and Social Care
  • Develop Health and safety and risk management policies, procedures and practices 
  • Undertake a research project within services

  • Residential Management
  • Advanced Practice

Your pathway will be selected with your tutor, depending on your role and responsibilities. Your remaining credits will be chosen from optional units.

Assessments

You will be allocated an occupationally qualified tutor who will support you throughout your course. This course incudes ten one to one visits with your tutor within your workplace.
