About This CourseThis is a Level 5 qualification for deputy manager/managers in an adult care setting. The qualification aims to guide and assess development of knowledge, understanding and skills in Management and Advanced Practice within Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services. Qualification Structure: To achieve the full qualification individuals need to achieve 80 credits from a combination of mandatory and optional units. This is a Level 5 qualification for deputy manager/managers in an adult care setting. The qualification aims to guide and assess development of knowledge, understanding and skills in Management and Advanced Practice within Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services. Qualification Structure: To achieve the full qualification individuals need to achieve 80 credits from a combination of mandatory and optional units. Mandatory Units: (total of 20 credits) * Use and develop systems that promote communication * Promote professional development * Champion equality, diversity and inclusion * Develop health and safety and risk management policies, procedures and practices in health and social care or children and young people's settings * Work in partnership in health and social care or children and young peoples settings Plus seven additional mandatory units depending upon pathway chosen (44 credits) Optional Units: Complete optional management units which have a minimum credit value of 20 from chosen pathway. Choose optional knowledge units, maximum of six credited from chosen pathway. Delivery Model: Attend monthly workshops for the first two months and then fortnightly thereafter. Entry CriteriaA minimum of a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (QCF) Learners need to be working in a deputy manager or manager role within a care sector environment. All applicants are assessed at interview to ensure correct level of study.
Progression DetailsThis qualification will be the accepted qualification for registration and regulation where appropriate and can demonstrate Continuing Professional Development.
