Description

This course is specifically designed to be a flexible work-based programme. It will suit the needs of those working in schools in the Foundation Stage or Key Stage One or Two. During the course you will be able to relate assignments and study to the Key Stage(s) that you are working in.

You would be in a position to pursue Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status whilst studying on the Foundation Degree.

Students must have ALL of the following:

  • A current and valid level 3 Childcare/Teaching Assistant/Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification
  • Students must have gained their level 3 qualification and have been employed for two years at this level and for at least 10 hours per week

Acceptance on the course will be subject to successful interview and references.

A statement of support and commitment from your employer/mentor stating that they will be able to meet the range of roles and responsibilities in the workplace will also be needed.
