Assessment:You will be allocated a number of hours of assessment time by City College and will need to work within this framework in order to maximise support. NVQ assessors will observe your achievements and skills in your workplace and you will collect a portfolio of evidence for assessment. Expert witnesses within the school are also used. There are no examinations.
Academic Progression:On completion of the qualification you will be able to progress to Level 3, then to Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
Full Description:At Level 2 you are likely to be working under the supervision of an experienced and qualified professional.
Units:
You will need to complete all Mandatory units plus two units from a
range of units, depending on your roles, responsibilities and
working environment.

- STL1 Provide support for learning activities
- STL2 Support children's development (CCLD 203)
- STL3 Help to keep children safe (CCLD 202)
- STL4 Contribute to positive relationships (CCLD 201)
- STL5 Provide effective support for your colleagues
