Level 3 Digital Design BTEC Diploma
This course is aimed at students who want to develop a solid base of technical skills, along with an understanding of the real design process. It would suit those who are aiming to gain employment in the design industry, to work as freelance designers or continue into further or higher education.
The course aims to prepare students for higher education, employment or self-employment in design. Students will be taught computer skills with relevant industry Adobe software, digital media techniques, together with a good understanding of the process of design and the industry. The course also covers web design, animation and digital photography.

The course aims to prepare students for higher education,
employment or self-employment in design. Students will be taught
computer skills with relevant industry Adobe software, digital

Students will also be supported in applying for jobs and building a
suitable portfolio for interviews and prospective clients.
Students must have ONE the following:
- Level 2 Diploma in Art & Design, Fashion or Media at merit, plus GCSE English or Maths at grade A*-C
- 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C, including English or Maths
- Equivalent qualifications - Functional Skills may be accepted in place of GCSE Maths and/or English
A portfolio of art & design work is required.
