An Advanced Retail Apprenticeship will give you a wide range of skills to help you work in a retail environment, one of the largest business sectors. To complete your apprenticeship you will have training and assessment at your place of work.
Course Content
Your apprenticeship will involve completing a Diploma and a
Technical Certificate in Retail, plus Key Skills in Application of
Number and Communication.
The qualification comprises of a wide range of units for you to
choose from including working effectively in your store, organising
the receipt and storage of goods, auditing, improving food safety,
recruiting, solving customer service problems and working to
improve operations.

The Apprenticeship programme offers a great way to gain
vocational training, qualifications and a wage at the same
time.
The programme is a three−way partnership between you, your employer
and your training provider.

Entry Requirements
Available to young persons aged between 16−24 who are leaving or
have left full−time education.
Before the start of the training programme, candidates will need to
find a company which is happy to employ a trainee or already have a
job in retail.

Price
While you are on an Apprenticeship, your employer pays you a salary and supports you whilst you undertake your training.
The National Apprenticeship Service will pay the costs of your training depending on your age.
