Senior school leaders need to motivate and inspire all who work within the organisation if improvement is to occur. Senior school leaders' support for continuing professional development and the development of learning community is also crucial. The range of issues and concepts covered also include the nature of effective learning both for individuals (adults and children) and organisations, and the links between learning and the community. Finally, the module considers using research evidence and data as part of being a learning community or organisation and students are invited to develop their research literacy.
