- At least 200 GCSE entry points with a minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C including either Maths or English or Functional Skills Level 2, or a Level 2 qualification such as a First Diploma (at Merit Level or above)
What will I be doing on the course?
Over the course of two years, you will study 18 different units.
9 units each year. The units you could study are:
Business Activity, Marketing, Business Communication, Business
Resources, Starting a Small Business, Internet and e-Business,
Recruitment and Selection, Website Design Strategies, Managing a
Business Event, Retail, Intro to Accountancy, Business Ethics,
Supporting Projects, Contract and Business Law, Managing Business
Information, Business and the Economic Environment, Team
Development and International Business.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is continuous throughout the two year course. You will be assessed on different assignment tasks for each unit.
What will I need?
BTEC Business book and USB memory stick.
What can I do next?
• Progress to Higher Education at HRC with Foundation
Degrees.
• Progress to a Degree course in e.g. Accounting, Business, Law,
Finance, Marketing and HR
• Employment in the Business Sector
Additional Activities
You will have the chance to take part in additional activities, including sport. Should you need to you can re-sit GCSE English and/or Maths if you have a grade D subject to certain criteria re-sits for GCSE English and Maths. You will also study Functional Skills. Trips are arranged to complement the course. Work experience forms part of this course.
