Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business

This course is designed to provide you with a sound overview of working within a business or enterprise environment.

Description

This full-time course is open to all students under the age of 19 and covers a broad range of business topics.
You will study a combination of modules which will include finance, business processes and starting up a new business.

You will be given the opportunity to visit businesses throughout the course, giving you a first-hand insight into real working environments.

How long is the course?

One year.

How will I be assessed?

Course work is completed through case studies, projects, presentations, and reports linked to real businesses.

Assessment is undertaken throughout the course in the form of assignments, presentations and projects.

What can I go on to study?

Level 3 National in Business or Level 3 courses in public services, leisure and tourism or IT. A Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business and Level 3 OCR Diploma is also available.

Entry requirements

GCSE English and maths at grade D or above, plus two other subjects at grade E or above. A Foundation GNVQ would also be accepted.
