The Level 1 Foundation Learning Diploma in Vocational Studies (Business) is designed to offer you a choice of routes into employment or progression on to a higher level programme.

You will also study the three functional skills as part of the programme, Maths, English & ICT

Teaching and assessment

The course is assessed by a mixture of written tests and coursework. Learners will acquire skills through a combination of practical tasks, theory, simulated activities and role-play.

Entry requirements

Assessment in English and maths. Preferably 4 GCSEs at D-G grades.

Additional course costs

If you are between 16-18, the course is free. For 19+ the course fee is £1,300*, plus £83* registration fee. *Subject to amendment.

Progression

On successful completion of the course students may progress to the BTEC First Diploma in Business, the BTEC First Diploma in Retail, a level 2 Business Administration programme or employment.
