What will I be doing on the course?
Through the work related assignments and project led activities you will study areas such as:
- Building Technology
- Graphical Detailing including Auto CAD
- Survey Processes
- Maths in Construction
- Planning and Organising
- Construction Science
- Building Surveying
- Construction and the Environment
- Health & Safety
How will I be assessed?
- Assignments have to be completed for every unit, with the opportunity to gain Pass, Merit or Distinction levels
- Assessment dates are set throughout the course duration and deadline dates must be achieved
- Functional Skills will also be studied during the course to
support the main qualification
What will I need?
Books (to be advised) and stationery. Boots for site visits –
other PPE will be provided. Overalls optional.
What can I do next?
When you have successfully completed this course, you will have gained a nationally recognised qualification equivalent of two A levels. You can then choose to go directly into employment or further your studies within higher education.
Additional Activities
As a full time student, you will have the chance to take part in additional activities, including sports, alongside your main programme. The use of Auto CAD. Depending on your prior achievement, you can resit GCSE English and/or Maths.
