What does the course include?

The course content includes modules in:

• Information Technology
• Sociology
• Psychology
• Professional Studies

This is an opportunity for adults with no previous educational qualifications who wish to progress to University to study Social Work, Social Housing, Probation or Youth and Community Work.

There is a strong tutorial support on the course, including assistance in applying to Higher Education. Students study one year full-time over 3 days a week.

What do I need to get on this course?

No prior qualifications are needed, but all applicants will need to attend an interview and complete diagnostic assessments prior to an offer of acceptance.

It is crucial that you have some experience (paid or voluntary) within the social work field, as this will affect your ability to gain entrance to university.

Where does it lead?

Students progress to a range of Social Work and Community Work degree courses at institutions such as East London, Bromley, Kingston, Middlesex, Goldsmiths and Mid Kent.
