be considered for membership of RAeS (BEng (Hons) graduates only) - Join the Institution of Engineering and Technology at Engineering Technician level (HND/HNC students). You will be invited to interview and membership will be at a level in line with your grade and responsibilities (fee payable)

Career opportunities
The current UK shortage of qualified engineering graduates means you will have plenty of career options when you graduate. You can find employment in the fields of aeronautical, mechanical and manufacturing engineering consultancy, research and development or in the armed forces.
Previous graduates have gone on to work for organisations such as Airbus UK, Rolls Royce Engineers, the National Air Traffic Control Service and British Airways, amongst others.
Course content
FdEng Aircraft Maintenance
Designed and developed to suit apprentices or trainee students
already working in
the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. You will investigate
the fundamentals of engineering materials and aircraft systems, as
well as boosting your workshop skills. Learn about aviation
legislation, avionic systems, gas turbine engines and gas turbine
science and supplement this with work-based learning within
companies such as MyTravel, Thomas Cook and Hawker Beechcraft
This foundation degree is provided in collaboration with Deeside College. The course will be delivered on a 50/50 basis between Glyndŵr University and Deeside College.

Entry requirements and applying
120 UCAS points at A2 level or equivalent. (To include A level in Mathematices or a relevant science subject or equivalent.) Appropriate AS-Level and Level 3 Key Skills qualifications will also be taken into account. Applicants should have completed a National Certificate/Diploma. Assessment
During the course of your studies you will undertake phase tests, written assignments, practical work on computers, portfolio of work, logbooks, presentations and laboratory work case studies and CAD. A combination of this work will form part of your assessment. Exams may also form part of your assessment.
