Entry Requirements
Candidates must work in health and social care and children and young people’s services in the following roles: -Managers -Assistant managers -Deputy managers -Senior care/support workers -Co-ordinators -Team leaders Health and social care and children and young people’s services include: -Residential services for older people, younger adults and children and young people -Domiciliary care services -Day services -Respite services -Community based services -Adoption and fostering services
Delivery & Assessment methods
-Delivery of underpinning knowledge in class from tutor -Weekly support for assignments by tutor -Assessor support in completing assignments -Assessor support in presenting evidence of competence including assessment through observations, testimonies and accounts of practice
Progression
This qualification replaces the Level 4 NVQ in Leadership and Management for Care Services and the Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care, and is accepted on a number of Higher Education programmes. This qualification will be the accepted qualification for registration and regulation where appropriate and can demonstrate continuing professional development.
