If you are an experienced heat pump installer who has achieved competency in a non-NOS mapped course, require QCF accreditation and need minimal training, this course is for you.
This course covers the installation commissioning handover inspection and maintenance of heat pump systems in accordance with the new QCF framework qualification.
Assessment is by online multiple-choice exam paper-based exam and practical assessments.

1.5 days of revision in the classroom and practical training in the
workshop by a skilled tutor. You are assessed in the classroom and
in the workshop.
This course and certificate are recognised by all the current
Microgeneration Certification Schemes - they meet the requirement
for appropriate training in solar thermal technology.
Successful completion of the training and assessment provides
suitably-qualified individuals with training evidence when applying
for registration on a Microgeneration Certification Scheme that
allows self-certification. It also acts as notification to building
control departments of work completed.
The course leads to a Level 3 award within the Qualifications and
Credit Framework. The training has been mapped to National
Occupational Standards which means you receive the most beneficial
and industry-relevant training possible.
You need to hold a G3 certificate in domestic unvented hot water
systems energy efficiency water regulations and NVQ Level 2 in
plumbing and heating. Or you could have 3 years industry experience
as well as a non-QCF qualification in heat pump systems.
The Level 3 Award in Understanding the Fundamental Principles of
Environmental Technologies is also a requirement for this
course.
Upon completion of this course you can progress to another Level 3 award in other environmental technologies.
