This heat pump course is for experienced plumbers and heating engineers who wish to install heat pumps systems and who require QCF accreditation. It is a full revision and training course.
This course covers the installation commissioning and handover of heat pump systems in accordance with the new QCF framework qualification.
A training manual which accompanies the course will be sent out to you 3-4 weeks prior to attendance and you will be expected to self study in preparation for the assessments. and in the workshop for the remainder of the course. The assessment
consists of an online multiple choice exam a paper-based exam and
practical assessments.
This heat pump course and certificate are recognised by all the current Microgeneration Certification Schemes as meeting the requirement for appropriate training in the solar thermal technology. Successful completion of the training and assessment will provide training evidence for suitably-qualified individuals to include with their application for registration on a Microgeneration Certification Scheme that allows self-certification. It also provides notification to Building Control Departments of work completed.This course leads to a Level 3 award within the Qualifications and Credit Framework. Also this training has been mapped to National Occupational Standards which means you are receiving the most beneficial and industry-relevant training possible.
Candidates should hold a G3 certificate in domestic unvented hot water systems energy efficiency water regulations and NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating or 3 years industry experience. The Level 3 Award in Understanding the Fundamental Principles of Environmental Technologies is also a prerequisite for this course.
Upon completion of this course you can then progress to the evel 3 Award for Inspection and Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems or a Level 3 award in other environmental technologies.
