Description

This heat pump course is for experienced heat pump installers who have achieved competency in an NOS-mapped course for installation of heat pumps, and who require QCF accreditation to maintain and service heat pumps. If you do not require any training, this course is for you - it is assessment only.

This course is assessment only. It covers the inspection servicing and maintenance of heat pump systems in accordance with the new QCF framework qualification.

Assessment is by online multiple-choice exam paper-based exam and practical assessment in the workshop.

A training manual which accompanies the course will be sent out to you 3-4 weeks prior to attendance and you will be expected to self study in preparation for the assessments. You are assessed in the classroom and in the workshop by a skilled tutor.

This course and certificate are recognised by all current Microgeneration Certification Schemes - they meet the requirement for appropriate training in solar thermal technology. Successful completion provides suitably-qualified individuals with training evidence when applying for registration on a Microgeneration Certification Scheme that allows self-certification. It also acts notification to Building Control Departments of work completed.

You need to have successfully completed the QCF Level 3 Award in Heat Pump Installation before attending this course.

This course leads to a Level 3 award within the Qualifications and Credit Framework. Also this training has been mapped to National Occupational Standards which means you are receiving the most beneficial and industry-relevant training possible. Upon completion of this course you can progress to a Level 3 award in other environmental technologies.
