recognize incidents of workplace violence.
The qualification enables candidates to understand the
responsibilities of employers and employees in relation to

property. The qualification is designed for people working in an
environment where conflict may arise.
This course helps you to understand:
- what is meant by the terms 'risk' and 'hazard'
- the causes of workplace violence
- how to identify and reduce hazards through risk assessment
- why and how conflict situations can arise
- how to deal with conflict when it has arisen
- the law in relation to self-defence victim support
- the importance of reporting and recording incidents of workplace
violence
Learning activities include lectures, role plays, practical
sessions and group work. It is delivered in one day and includes a
short multiple-choice examination. A comprehensive handbook
presented in an easy-to-follow format supports the qualification
and covers all the information needed for this exam.
On successful completion of the course you will have the
necessary skills to handle conflict in the workplace.
The qualification awarded is the Level 2 Certificate in Conflict
Management, and it will enhance your communication skills, improve
self confidence and your ability to deal with conflict.
No prior qualifications required.
On successful completion of the course you will be able to further enhance your skills and employability by also enrolling on a Door Supervision Level 2 and subsequently apply for an SIA licence.
In order to pass, candidates must answer correctly 23 out of the 30 examination questions.
